We've stayed quite a bit in Verchaix both winter and summer at Chalet Isabella, (a very family freindly place to stay run by young family also "skisamoens.co.uk" nice views and more sun on that side of the valley but hard to beat the convenience of staying on the snow ..... A quick tip, as you get to station 1100 they syphon off day trip parking on approach but if you tell the attendant you are resident and name the hotel/chalet they normally let you drive right through . ...
